Lap-a-thon: Time for Donations!
June 5th
Marlins, it's time to get those donations!
Our annual Lap-A-Thon fundraiser is next Wednesday, June 11th during normal practice times.
What is the Lap-a-thon? It's our fundraiser where swimmers are challenged to swim as many laps as possible to raise donations that keep our amazing team running. Here are a few more important details:
- ONLINE DONATIONS: You can donate two ways - flat rate or per lap. To make things even easier, share this link - https://www.zeffy.com/peer-to-peer/2025-marlins-lap-a-thon with family & friends so they can donate right away! You can also use the attached QR code, which can be found on our Marlins website (https://bcmarlins.swimtopia.com/lap-a-thon).
- CASH/CHECK DONATIONS: Don’t want to pay online? No problem! Cash and check donations are always welcome. There is a folder labeled “fundraising” in the family folders box. Please put them in an envelope and label with your swimmers full name. If you need a tax receipt for a cash or check donation, please let us know.
- FOOD: It takes lots of food to fuel these athletes, so please bring an item to share. If your last name begins with:
- A-I: Donuts, pastries, or muffins
- J-P:Fruit
- Q-Z:Salty or savory snack
- Drinks will be provided by the board but feel free to bring your own water, Gatorade, etc.
- VOLUNTEERS: We will need volunteers on June 11 to help count laps. Go to the Team Calendar to sign up for a volunteer spot (https://bcmarlins.swimtopia.com/manage/calendar_events). Counting sheets will be available and don’t forget - siblings, big swimmers, grandparents and babysitters can help count too!
