Chris has been with the Marlins since 2002, starting as a parental volunteer position of timer, stroke judge, coach liaison to the board and board member in the 4 years prior to becoming head coach. This season will be his 19th year coaching Marlins. As of 2022 he has participated in 154 NWSC summer league meets. having missed one dual meet (because of a training trip to the Olympic center) in the 22 years he has been involved with summer league. (18 years coaching and 4 years as a parent volunteer). This gives him the unique perspective of having observed the Marlin organization from both a volunteer and professional point of view for over two decades now. The very first thing that really stood out about this team was what he saw at the very first meet. Marlins swimming with tremendous heart. Add to that the fact that Marlin parents are well known for their hard work, friendliness and organization. They have all the ingredients needed by a good coaching staff to encourage athletes to become winners. And we have a very good (loyal, dedicated and cohesive) coaching staff.
As we move the bar of excellence higher each year, he is humbled and truly blessed to have the opportunity to work with such an outstanding organization. He prays that he can continue the cycle of returning to this community the many blessings he has received turning people into swimmers, swimmers into winners and winners into champions each summer. :-)

My name is Caitlyn McLarty, I have always had a passion when it came to being in the water. I was a swimmer for 13 years, 11 of those years apart of Sailfish, and 8 with the Marlins. I was also a swimmer at Rouse high school as well as captain for 2 years. I am currently a college student, taking classes online so I am able to be with these kids as much as I can!
As their coach I hope to nurture a positive and caring environment as me and the other coaches help them reach their goals.
I can't wait to see what this season brings!
Hello! My name is Allison Walker, and I've been swimming for eight years with both the year-round Sailfish and the summer Marlins Swim Team. I'll be starting my freshman year at Texas A&M University this fall. Swimming has helped me grow so much as both an athlete and a person. I'm incredibly grateful for the coaches who have supported and guided me along the way. As a new coach, I'm excited to give that same support to other swimmers and help them grow, too.
Brannan is a former Marlins swimmer, which is where he began his swimming journey in 2018. Since, Brannan has set multiple Sailfish and Marlins records, as well as at Rouse High School, where he was also a team captain and a multiple time State Finalist in individual and relay events.
Brannan currently competes at the NCAA D2 level as a swimmer for the University of Texas Permian Basin. He is excited to bring his experience and passion for swimming back to the Marlins as an assistant coach, helping young swimmers improve and achieve their goals.
Hey, I’m Logan! I’ve been swimming for years, 5 of which was apart of the Marlins team. I swam all through high school at Rouse before moving on to compete at Bellarmine University. This summer, I’m excited to coach the Marlins and be part of a team that helps swimmers grow and enjoy their time in the water.
