When does registration start?

  • January 13 - January 26, 2026: Registration opens for Brushy Creek MUD residents ONLY. If you’re not sure if you are a resident, check your water bill to see if it’s paid to the Brushy Creek MUD. It’s important to note that addresses will be cross-referenced with a list of MUD addresses.
  • January 27 - February 2, 2026: Registration opens for returning Marlins families. Ifyou had a swimmer last season (2025), you can register your past swimmer and additional/new swimmers during this window. It’s important to note that starting this season, if your swimmer(s) does not participate in a minimum of (2) swim meets, they will NOT be considered a returning swimmer next season.
  • February 3, 2026 - Until full: New Marlins families can register.

Returning Swimmer Policy: New this season (Summer 2026). If your swimmer(s) does not participate in a minimum of (2) swim meets, they will NOT be considered a returning swimmer next season (2027) and will be assigned to register in Wave 3, New Marlins Families. If your family has other swimmers that attend the minimum of (2) swim meets this season, they can register in the Returning Marlins Families (Wave 2). NOTE: In cases where siblings are separated into different waves, sibling discounts will not be applied. Only siblings that sign-up in the same registration wave will receive the sibling discount.

Attending Meets: The Brushy Creek Marlins is a swim team and our swimmers are expected to attend a minimum of 2 swim meets. In addition to attending the (2) required meets, there is an expectation that ALL swimmers will attend the Championship meet the last Saturday of the season (Saturday, June 27, 2026). This is the biggest meet of the season, and we need every swimmer in attendance.

Waitlist: Due to pool space limitations, and coach-swimmer ratios, there are group size limits, but the Brushy Creek Marlins does offer waitlists. Should space become available, they will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.

What equipment is required for Marlin Swimmers?
A competition style swimsuit, a swim cap, goggles, and a towel are all that are required. A water bottle with water (not juice or soda) is also recommended. Sunscreen or an SPF swim shirt is important to protect the swimmers from the hot Texas sun, however we recommend that swimsuits and swim shirts are not too baggy as they can interfere while swimming.

Is there additional merchandise for purchase?
A variety of additional merchandise will be available for purchase during registration, at the kick-off event, and at the merchandise tent at all meets, such as Marlins Swim Caps, goggles, Marlins water bottles, etc.

What if I have a returning Marlin and a new Marlin? Can I register them both at the same time?
Yes, families with at least one returning Marlin swimmer are considered returning families, and should register the returning swimmer first, then add the new swimmers as needed.

Is swimmer insurance covered in the Marlins registration fee?
Yes, part of your registration fee per swimmer includes insurance as determined through the Northwest Swim Circuit.

Do Swimmers have practice if it is raining? Thunder or Lightning?
Yes! Swimmers have practice rain or shine. However, your child's safety is our first priority. If lightning or thunder occur, the pool will be cleared for 30 minutes. Each time thunder or lightning occurs, the 30 minute timer is reset. If practiced is canceled due to weather an email will be sent from the coaches.

What is the difference between a record breaker and record holder?
