Happy Sunday and Father’s Day to all our Marlin Families,

Thank you to everyone who lent a hand to help with the clean up after yesterday’s meet! We only have two meets left this season and are asking everyone to help with volunteering and cleaning up at these meets, especially Divisionals on June 28.

Reminder: Volunteering is not optional. If your swimmer is swimming in the meet, you are expected to volunteer for at least one shift. If you do not sign up for the shift and job you want, you will be assigned one. To pick, go to the team calendar, and click on the job sign-up button next to that meet.

The sign-up deadline for our last regular season meet is tonight at 11:59pm. This meet will be held on Saturday, June 21 at the Georgetown Recreation Center. Swimmers have until the sign-up deadline tonight to choose their 3 individual events.

We have only one week of normal practice remaining! This week, June 16-20 is our last week of practice for the entire team. The last week, June 23-27 is only for those swimmers attending our Divisional Championship Meet on June 28. The Divisional Championship meet is where we celebrate the accomplishments of our swimmers and field the strongest team possible. It is very important that we bring our whole team to this meet. Please sign up on the team calendar to attend. There are no qualifying times for Divisionals however you must have attended 2 meets this summer.

For the practices this week (June 16-20) it is Drag Week! Drag week, means that swimmers wear clothing on top of their swimsuit, to help create drag and resistance while they swim. Please send your swimmers with at least a t-shirt that they can wear in the water. We will be tie dying t-shirts on Friday, June 20 after practice as part of our Fun Friday activities, if you want to buy a white t-shirt to wear as your drag t-shirt this week, we will tie dye it on Friday. You can also dress up as one of your Rad Coaches because….

This week is also our Coaches Appreciation Week. This is the week we get to shower our AMAZING coaches with love and appreciation. Make a card, or picture, or bring them their favorite snack. Let’s help show them that they are simply the best, and better than all the rest. We will have bins at all the practices this week to help create thank you baskets for the coaches. End of the Season Celebration: Our End of the Season Celebration will be held on Monday, June 30 from 6-9pm at the Georgetown Community Center. Come and celebrate all our accomplishments over this summer swim season. We will also be having our Annual General Meeting at the End of Season Celebration. Invitationals Meet: The invitational Meet for those with qualifying times will be on Sunday, June 29, 2025. Due to some backend stuff, those who had previously signed up to attend, need to go to the team calendar online and recommit to attending. Volunteer sign up is not open yet but will be soon. Swimmers can still qualify for the Invitational Meet up to and including the Divisionals Meet on June 28. Lap-a-thon Update: We have currently raised over $12,500 but we still want to reach our goal of $15,000. If we reach this goal, the kids earn private movie nights at the pool! There will be one for teens and one for 12 and under. You can still donate until the end of the season and corporate match pledges can be emailed to [email protected]
