Meet & Volunteer Sign up:
This opened for all on Sunday, April 26 at 6pm (with a few minor hiccups! Those should be fixed). This is where you go to the Team Calendar and identify if your swimmer will attend the meet. If your swimmer is attending the meet, you are expected to volunteer at that meet, and this is also where you sign up for your volunteer role and shift. Volunteering is an expectation, not a suggestion. Our lovely Volunteer Coordinator, Liz Leonard ([email protected]) works very hard to make sure all the roles are filled and if you do not sign up, she will assign you a shift.
If you forget to RSVP, then your swimmer is marked as not attending and not entered in the meet. It is not possible to do late entries. It is always possible to remove a swimmer from the meet at the last minute. If you are unsure, it is best practice to mark your swimmer as attending and we can remove them last minute if needed.
To see the Team Calendar you can go here: https://bcmarlins.swimtopia.com/swim_meets
Note: Two Meets will not open for sign up on April 26 - the Divisional Championship Meet (swimmers need to have swam in at least 2 meets this season prior to this opening) and the Invitational Championship Meet (swimmers must have swam in a meet this season and achieved a time that is as fast or faster than the invitational time cut). These meets will open later this season and may open at different times for different people due to these circuit rules.

Time Trial:New Date: Friday, May 1, 2026 for new Marlins only.
Please Note the change in date. This was going to be first practice for new Marlins but will now be the Time Trial for new Marlins.
Time Trials is a mini swim meet where new Marlins get to jump or drive in, swim to the other end, and get a time that they can then try to beat at the next meet.
This event is for all NEW Marlins swimmers.
Warm up starts at 3:30pm. We understand this start time may be difficult as it is after school. Just try your best to get there in time and let the coaches know if you are going to be late or cannot attend.
Time Trial Volunteering: If you have a new Marlin at the Time Trial, then you are required to volunteer. The time trial is a fantastic place to learn how to do these different roles and get training. Please sign up in the Team Calendar.
Practices:
- Friday, May 1 - Changed to Time Trial Mini Meet for all new Marlins instead of practice
- Monday, May 4 - First day of normal practice for all Marlins (Remember that practices are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Fridays (no Wednesdays) until after Memorial Day.)
- Monday, May 25 - No Practices - Memorial Day.
- Tuesday, May 26 - Practices switch to mornings.
Practices are rain or shine, hot or cold. Coaches will send out an e-mail if practices get cancelled or delayed due to thunder and lightning.
Practice groups are on the website: https://bcmarlins.swimtopia.com/practicesAny questions or concerns about practices, please contact our coaches.
